It’s been a while and I am sorry I have not been blogging at all recently. Work has been really busy, among other things, but getting all of said tasks within and without the context of work for now helps! I resolve, thus, to blog more regularly and hope everyone is having a Merry Christmas! So long as we don’t forget the Reason for the Season, all should be well. Truthfully, the month or so that I ended up taking off from blogging and such has changed much, but I am back now and a more mature person for it, I think.
That said, how were your Christmas Days and how will you celebrate the remaining eleven days of the season? Let me know! Thanks!
Wow. I notice even as I post sporadically due to university studies and other obligations in a typical week, I’m still getting views, even from places I wouldn’t expect people to be reading my blog, such as Switzerland and Pakistan. Wow. Thank you! That you’re responding to my writings and, hopefully, seeing Jesus Christ in me is a blessing. He said to the Father in Luke 22:42b as follows: “Not My will, but Yours be done.” (NLT) Like God Himself wants His will done, all I want in this world is His will done. I’m thankful to be a part of that “royal priesthood” (NKJV) mentioned in 1 Peter 2:9- Christians. We’re blessed and that’s why we live for the Lord: because of His character and sacrifice for us, not ourselves.
That said, to see you’re interested and hopefully looking at the Gospel message, examining it further, even, is a blessing. May God be with you and I hope He has blessed you through the work He has given me to do.
God Bless, as always,
Bonjour tout le monde,
Wauw.
Note: The entry is also in French, as the majority of my entries will be in both English and French. Enjoy (I hope!)!
Note: L’article de blog est en français aussi, comme la plupart de mes articles de blog seraient en anglais et français ensemble.
I hope you are having or had a splendind Saint Valentine’s Day! Were you able to spend time with loved ones, be they family, friends, significant others, pets, et cetera? I hope so, because I think that’s what God wants and Saint Valentine would have wanted. After all, God created us for relationships with him and one another. Believers especially are to be in community with one another, as per multiple passages of Scripture on the subject, and we are to love all for Jesus’ sake, as He commanded us to do so.
Yep, Saint Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be about romance after all! That said, I hope you have a blessed rest of your day and check this out: John 13:34-35.
God Bless, as always,
*Note: I will post a French version of this entry shortly, as it is already very long in English!
*Note: Je créerai une version de cet article de blog en français bientôt, parce que c’est très long en anglais!
This is Michelle again! As you know, last year was busy as anything and this year is shaping up to be somewhat more relaxed. That said, some changes are coming, which I wanted to highlight by first sharing my New Year’s Resolutions and then mentioning some other changes, a few of which I have mentioned before. That said, here are the New Year’s Resolutions as I posted them on Facebook:
1. I resolve to spend more time with God in prayer, quiet times, service, and any other form of worship which He calls me to practice. After all, I claim He is my top priority in my life and claim to follow His command of doing so. Therefore, I must make it so, right? That I will, by His grace alone.
2. I resolve to spend more quality time with my family and friends as well, being intentional in every encounter I have with loved ones. (Yes, this includes Reilly and my future fur-daughter, Dixie Mirabelle.)
3. I resolve to get healthier in all respects by taking care of myself in terms of eating, exercise, et cetera. For example, I will be eating more fruits and vegetables, more complex carbohydrates and proteins, more unsaturated fats and less simple carbs, junk food, et cetera. I will also exercise daily and resolve to sleep 8-9 hours per night on a consistent schedule insofar as I am able.
4. I resolve to be less critical and judgmental of myself and others in my life. After all, I have discovered that I can be a perfectionist in many areas of my life and that I need to “let go and let God” work out my life. He created me, made me His child, and knows what is best for me for many other reasons besides those listed (cf. Psalm 46:10, Isaiah 55:8-9, et cetera)
5. Finally, I resolve to live more intentionally in everything else I do: applying myself more to my studies, saving more money, giving more of my time and talent to loving others as God has called me to do, working towards a bright future more seriously, and having fun in life, too!
Indeed, I am looking forward to what 2015 will bring, thanks be to God, and prepared to enjoy the bulk of it, as I know there will be setbacks along the way. Oh well, that’s life!
Finally, I intend to work more on videos, songwriting, and other creative projects such as spoken-word poetry and jewelry-making. Look for them in the near future (today on!).
So, what are your New Year’s Resolutions and what did you like best and least about last year? If you could do anything the same and anything differently, given the chance to relive last year, how would you do that? Let me know and I look forward to reading your comments!
Busyness abounds like usual, but finals are the bane of my existence at the moment…..(okay, that is a slight exaggeration, but they are still frustrating!) That’s why I haven’t posted for the past couple of days. Sorry about being off the grid for a bit without much warning. I hope you will pardon me for that and promise to be more conscientious in the future!
Additionally, I will have something coming up for all of my YouTube followers, so look out for that tomorrow! Yes, I will link y’all to the video via my next blog entry when I have finished it as well! Again, I am so sorry about finals-related delays and hope you will pardon me!
That said, I hope you are well, God bless you, and I promise to post more frequently in the coming months!
I hope you are well! Additionally, as it is now Advent and commemorating Christ’s first coming is upon us, I need your ideas for songs to cover in what I hope will be an annual series: “It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year: Christmas Carol Covers!” So, if you want to suggest any songs for me to cover, go ahead! I will cover at least one song, or hopefully two songs, a week until Epiphany ends! That said, request away by commenting on this blog entry or submitting your requests in the comments section of my video on YouTube:
That said, I look forward to taking your requests and being part of a blessed Christmas season for you! God Bless!
As I promised, I am back to writing. This poem will be a bit darker but end on an optimistic note, like usual, as a long day and perhaps getting sick inspired it. After all, an irregular sleep schedule since Thanksgiving and slight dehydration today can be enough to make the average human being, like me, sick. I hope it was just a fluke, which I think it was. That said:
Frustration and Reflection
Sometimes I think I can’t take anymore
That my life’s going nowhere or I’m not sure/
What God has for me, though I know it’s something.
After all, having no purpose would be no reason for living./
Thankfully, I needn’t worry nor despair
For I know my God is everywhere./
And nothing I do or say will ever be in vain
For there is a time and a purpose for everything. /
That said, I am thankful to have this gift of life/
To know my Lord and my God, by the grace of Jesus Christ
My Lord, my master, I will serve You until my dying day/
Then again when I see Thy face in eternity.
There it is. I may add to it later, but I doubt it. Clean, civil, constructive, and other such comments are welcome, of course. God Bless!
